1. Visit the Presidential Residence

The Czech President’s residence is called the Prague Castle and it is also a famous tourist attraction. The complex where the castle stands is also where some other Prague attractions can be found like the St. Vitus Cathedral.

For over a thousand years, Prague Castle has been standing where it is now and as it cover a large area, it may take a whole day to explore it. One of the square’s highlights is the Prague Astronomical Clock, which is an exquisitely created timepiece that dates way back to 1400s.

The National Theater or the Národní divadlo, is the place to go if you want to watch the opera, ballet or theater. You would want to go for an afternoon show if you are on a budget though.

4. Admire the Dancing House of Prague

This structure was constructed from the idea of Vlado Milunic and designed by Frank Gehry. The construction was done in 1996. Today though, the Dancing House is not open to the public. It is possible though to admire it and take pictures of it. The structure has been given quite a few nicknames like Drunk House and Fred and Ginger.

Žižkov Tower is a huge, three-pillared thrusting television tower that is most commonly called as Pražský pták by the local admirers. Apparently copied on a ready-to-blast Soyuz, this tower is one of the favorite places to visit by the space-crazy visitors. The tower was completed in 1989 and if you go up on the viewing platform on the 8th floor, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the city. On the 5th floor, there is a café where you can sip a drink and relax.

6. Listen to the Local Talents

The Lucerna Music Bar is the place to go if you want to get entertained by the local talents. This place is certainly a must-included destination for the things to do in Prague. During Fridays and Saturdays, you can expect an 80’s themed disco party going on. But other days, you will be entertained by the best jazz musicians in town.
